Our story
Built on a trade, not a sales team
With 18 years of experience in the building trade and City & Guilds in Joinery and Carpentry behind him, Andrew set up Design Built Right Limited to run projects his way: personally, and under his own name.
He helps homeowners who need more space or a home that works better, without the stress of finding and managing a string of separate trades. His main specialisms are loft conversions, house extensions, full house refurbishments, kitchens and garden rooms, alongside joinery, roofing, tiling and electrical and gas work.
Andrew works hands-on where he is needed and brings in trusted specialists for each discipline. Gas work is carried out by our registered gas engineer and electrical work by our registered electrician. On loft conversions and extensions, Andrew handles building control sign-off himself, so inspections happen at the right time and the certificate is there at the end.
Based in Thorpe Willoughby, near Selby, Design Built Right covers Selby, York, Leeds, Tadcaster, Sherburn in Elmet, Goole, Pontefract, Wetherby, Doncaster, and the wider North, West, East and South Yorkshire area.
