Good joinery is about accuracy: walls in older Yorkshire houses are rarely straight or square, and the difference between a door that closes cleanly and one that sticks, or storage that fits and storage that leaves gaps, comes down to careful measuring, scribing and fitting.
Because joinery is Andrew's own trade, it is the work he most often carries out personally rather than passing to a subcontractor. On larger projects he still co-ordinates plasterers, decorators and other trades around the joinery, so doors, skirting and fitted units go in at the right moment and are not damaged by work that follows. Smaller joinery jobs can also be grouped together into a single visit so the day rate works harder for you.
