1. These terms
These terms apply to work carried out by Design Built Right Limited, 2 Birch Close, Thorpe Willoughby, North Yorkshire, YO8 9FB. Where a written quotation sets out something different, the quotation takes precedence.
2. Quotations
Quotations are priced individually for the job described, never below a day rate, based on the information and access available to us at the time of survey. If the scope changes, or conditions on site differ materially from what was surveyed, we will agree any adjustment with you in writing before continuing.
3. Deposits and payment
A deposit is payable before work starts. The amount depends on the type of job and is confirmed in your quote. The balance is due on completion of the work unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
4. Substrate and preparatory work
The scope of each job is set out in your quote. Where specialist trades are needed, including gas and electrical work, these are carried out by suitably registered tradespeople co-ordinated by us. Anything not listed in the quote is not included.
5. Access and site conditions
You agree to provide clear access to the working area, together with power, lighting and water, and to keep the area free of other trades while we work and while the finish cures. Delays caused by access or by other trades may affect the programme.
6. Finishes and samples
Materials, fittings and finishes are agreed with you before work starts. Natural materials such as timber and stone vary, and samples are indicative rather than exact.
7. Guarantee
Details of any workmanship guarantee are confirmed in writing with your quote.
8. Insurance and liability
We hold public liability insurance. Nothing in these terms limits liability where it cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Cancellation
If you cancel after materials have been ordered or after work has begun, we may retain or charge for materials supplied and work carried out to that point. Consumers have statutory cancellation rights where a contract is entered into away from our premises; these are unaffected.
